I go out when they run out.

That’s when anyone notices.

They don’t look up until I’m close. Sometimes not even then.

That’s when I get hit.

I’m in a cage, so I’m protected. You still hear it. You still feel it.

I don’t stop.
I can’t.

They’re going to need more balls.

Sometimes it’s dark before they’re all gone.

I'm still out there.
