GSTPA Solicits Tiger Woods to Lead Training Initiative

The GSTPA Tour today confirmed it has initiated contact with Tiger Woods regarding a potential role as a visiting instructor for its newly developed Applied Judgment course, a program designed to address decision-making under variable conditions.

The course will focus on real-time choices, situational awareness, and the management of outcomes that appear avoidable in retrospect.

According to the Association, Woods was identified based on “demonstrated experience operating within complex and rapidly deteriorating environments.”

Proposed instruction would include:

• Route selection under pressure
• Object avoidance fundamentals
• Late-stage reconsideration techniques
• Post-incident explanation protocols

Participation is voluntary but strongly implied for members who have recently engaged in questionable decision sequences.

A GSTPA official noted that while performance remains inconsistent, “judgment continues to present opportunities for review.”

Woods is expected to be offered a series of on-course seminars, though no schedule has been confirmed.

The Association emphasized that the program is not corrective in nature.

It is observational.
Results will be recorded.

As of this writing, Mr. Woods has not responded to multiple outreach attempts.
